Dana sits alone on the roof, where the pearl merchants once slept in summer. A private terrace wraps two sides of the room, looking over the wind towers of the quarter to the creek and the dhow wharves beyond.
Inside, the room is the calmest in the house: lime-washed walls, a low teak bed, and linen in the un-dyed colour of shell. The bathroom is cut from a single tone of grey terrazzo, with a rain shower open to a small light well.
Breakfast can be laid on your terrace before seven if you ask the evening before. Most guests do it once, then every day after.
