Ghaf is the courtyard room. Its double doors open straight onto the arcade, three steps from the fountain, which means the room fills with water-sound in the day and near-perfect silence at night when the fountain is stilled.

The bed is the widest in the house. Above it hangs a single ghaf branch, sun-bleached, mounted like the drawing it resembles.

Choose Ghaf if you want the house's life at your door: gahwa arrives here first each morning, and the courtyard's evening candles are lit outside your window.
